2 Install the program by clicking the  icon in your explorer. A small window will open. Just follow the installation instructions. Usually you can just click NEXT several times and the program will install automatically. After installation you will have to restart your pc. |
3 After installation you will see this icon at the right of your taskbar, next to the clock:  |
The program will open as shown below and you can select which parts of your pc you want to be scanned. It then scans the selected area and fixes or removes infected files. The program automatically monitors all you internet traffic. You don't have to do anything for that. For optimal performance, please register Avast! for FREE by right-clicking the icon and selecting 'About Avast!...'. A small window opens where you can select 'license key'. Follow the instructions and enter the license key after you receive it. Remember that it's totally free! |

If you wish to scan your pc for viruses, right-click on the icon and select 'Start Avast! Antivirus' (the second choice in the list).
